Flooded our laundry room 7 times

Weve had this washer for 4 months now and it has literally flooded our laundry room SEVEN times now Not just a leak. Its been gushing water LG sent a tech to fix it and it still has the same problem. Theyre telling me the tech has to come out again before theyll even consider a refund. Meanwhile Im at home with 3 kids and a newborn and a flooded laundry room. Avoid at all costs I will never buy from LG again

The capacity in this washer is fantastic. Our king sheets dont get tangled. I washed a king comforter no more laundry mats. I can download so many extra cycles like hand wash giving me every possible washing option. And the price was so reasonable.

So far I think its a great purchase I really like that it can connect to Google Chromecast and Alexa and that you can download your load settings from your phone. Dislike that speed wash doesnt do a great job but would probably work ok to freshen up a load of clothes.

i bought this set over a month ago and am so glad i did It was a bit intimidating at first so many cycles and all to choose from but its easy. its intuitive loads come out clean and then perfectly dry. It will wash and then dry a large comforter no problem. It handles delicates no problem. Dirty muddy jeans no problem

I have never hated a washing machine like I hate this one. It doesnt get my clothes clean the built in settings are questionable and Ive had it barely over a year with minimal use and the drain hose is somehow leaking? What a waste of money.

Can wash my king size blankets

We got this when we moved and knew we wanted something that would wash our king size blankets. We LOVE this washer. The only problem is the setting marked manual doesnt seem to work you would think manual would allow you to change the water temperature the spin speed and the time and add a second rinse if you wanted but its pr-set too.

Does a good job handles large items

I bought this washer in early December to replace my 16 year old LG front loader. It was still working but the matching drier broke the parts to fix it were not available and I wanted a set. Good selection of preset cycles as well as ones you can download and adjustments to same are easy - the settings which light up on the panel e.g. water temp soil level are easy to read and adjust.

WARNING: Missing Shipping Bolts Hole Caps etc

I have to inform innocent/ sophisticated customers. For this saga Ive been in contact with COSTCO concierge service since delivery on Jan 4 2023. They shipped twice yet no end in sight. Costco installer team did not leave Shipping Bolts 4 ea Hole Caps 4 ea and Leveling Wrench 2 ea. They are needed to prevent damage to internal components for future transport. Please make sure you keep these parts from installers. PS Washer is well so far though it might have few Roaches got into the holes left by the shipping bolts used to be. UGH

Coming into the store I was planning on checking out different models but this one came highly rated online in the store and had a great price. Not Overly impressed

I like the unit but am not overly impressed. For the money it should be better. It was pretty pricey. Its loud has been replace and repaired within a few months and I really dont like the fact that the washer doesnt have a light feature in it. The unit was delivered in September 2023 its already been replaced and I already had to have service out on the replacement. The customer service process to get the unit serviced is a pain in the butt. The customer service people were not so nice and made it difficult to get a technician out. I will say the local service technician that finally was dispatched was GREAT LG a customer service not so muchIm not a fan.

Exchanged maching

Sadly when the 5.0 was installed not all the styrofoam was removed from underneath the drum. Caused squeaky loud noise while washing and severe vibrations while spinning. Could not get another 5.0 so I exchanged for the 4.5. The new one is not quite as quiet and minus some types of loads but i hope i dont encounter any further issues.

We have had this unit for almost a year and its been great. It can handle quite a bit of clothes and does a great job in cleaning. We got the upgraded pedestal washer and thats been very helpful for small or quick loads. The added Wi-Fi is nice but to be honest I havent dove into it that well to see what all the options are.

Replaced our previous 14 year old LG washer with a similar model. New one has slightly larger drum. Since it is in a closet and not on a pedestal its difficult to see if Ive removed all the laundry. With all the Wi-Fi enabled steam clean etc features it would be nice to have a small light inside the drum. Also the choices menu is difficult to read through the glass. We put on our reading glasses bend down and make our choices.

Huge capacity/lots of options/annoying cycle dial

Bought this to replace a 15 year old HE machine. Find it has many features I dont use and probably never will. Love that it can do a super quick wash and love that there is an interior light and the option to add an item without having to wait quite a while for the door to unlock. Dont like that the cycle selector reverts to the normal cycle after every load and that it is hard to tell which cycle has been selected. The unit also is noisier when it is filling than my old unit but is acceptable quiet for the rest of the cycle.

Just Love the ability to choose so many options

I love that they provide some great instructions on how to maintain the washer. It even has the Tub Clean Coach on the app so you can be sure to make sure it stays clean. I also love how it has programs you can download.

Outstanding Machine and Service

We selected this washer to replace a prior LG unit that had lasted more than 15 years. This washer runs great and is very quiet and efficient. There are virtual no vibrations and very little sound coming from the washer. The number of options available is great and the control selection is very intuitive. Weve been able to reduce the number of individual loads to be washed due to the large 5 cu.ft capacity. The ThinQ function allows us to know when the a cycle is complete without having to make unnecessary trips upstairs to check on the washer. We also purchased the matching dryer drawer pedestals for both units. Adding the pedestals to raise the opening height makes loading a little easier and helps to make sure that everything is removed before the next cycle. We had a main board failure after 30 days. Making a claim with LG warranty service was a simple process. Within 24 hours of contacting them they determined that we would need technical service and had ordered the parts and scheduled a technician. While waiting for the appointment LG customer support kept us updated with numerous text messages. The service was scheduled to occur in 6 days including the weekend. The technician called and arrived ahead of schedule was able to perform the repairs within an hour. We couldnt have been more pleased.

Love our new LG ThinQ Washer

We replaced our old 14-year old LG washer with this new one and love it It is the same physical size as the old one but with a much larger drum. So I can wash more in one load than before plus fit larger bedding items in it. Love the added settings too. I noticed right away that our clothes appear brighter and cleaner than before even though Im using the same detergent.

We have a large family and run 10-15 loads a week. My wife immediately noticed this machine did a much better job washing than our previous top loader. Initial quality is great I hope this lasts longer than the one it replaced.

Love my new washer

My old washer was also an LG and I loved it When it passed away I decided to stick with the newer version of what I had and am very happy I did I love the new features it comes with and the ease of use as well as the fact I can stack it if I want to. I can also download new settings to my washer as needed. I have done this once so far and was very pleased with the results. My clothes come out fresh and clean every time. Thanks LG for a great washer
